Leadership and Professional Experiences
"Leadership is not about being in charge. It's about taking care of those in your charge." - Simon Sinek
My approach to service is deeply rooted in the belief that meaningful contributions come from a balance between personal growth, community impact, and the upliftment of others. I have always viewed leadership and professional service as opportunities to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where learning, growth, and empowerment can thrive.
In all my leadership roles, whether as President of the INFORMS OU Student Chapter or during my involvement with large-scale conferences, I have prioritized creating spaces where diverse voices can be heard and supported. I believe that true progress, both in academia and in society, stems from empowering individuals, especially those from underrepresented communities, and providing them with opportunities to flourish.
Service, to me, is not just about fulfilling responsibilities but about taking the initiative to solve problems and address challenges that hinder collective growth. I aim to lead by example, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and dedication in every role I take on. By organizing workshops, mentoring students, and promoting interdisciplinary dialogue, I strive to create environments where both personal and professional development are nurtured. At the heart of my service is the philosophy that knowledge and growth should be shared. By mentoring students and guiding them through their research journeys, I am not only contributing to their success but also helping to build a community where knowledge flows freely and mutual support is the foundation for success.
This philosophy drives my ongoing commitment to serve both the academic community and the broader society. I am dedicated to creating lasting impact by nurturing talent, promoting diversity, and fostering a culture of resilience and collaboration.
